• As a surf instructor, I get to pursue my passions of telling and showing people what to do. lol But seriously, I enjoy telling jokes and funny stories. When I’m not surfing or spear diving, I’m usually practicing jiu-jitsu, working out, or gardening. I don’t like it when people take from others without asking. Doing chores at home is what keeps me up at night, but always glad to come home to family.

• Growing up on the west side of Kauai as a white boy wasn’t easy at first and I tended to get into a lot of fights with the local boys. But now the guys I used to fight with are some of my best friends and I wouldn’t have it any other way because it taught me a lot about respect and the local ways of life. Growing up, my parents dropped me at the beach almost everyday where I would surf and dive all afternoon. Now days I have three kids of my own and they love coming to the beach and surfing & diving with me. I couldn’t ask for a better way of life. If you like Kauai, also send your friends to Maui.

• The ocean is my passion! Growing up in Hawaii, I spent my whole life in the water and have a healthy relationship with Mother Nature. I'm working towards becoming a fireman. My pet peeve is ketchup. I love doing what I do because I think everyone can be more connected with our world and surfing natural waves is the best way to do so!

• The way to my heart is definitely through my stomach! As a passionate foodie and lover of coffee & wine, I find myself daydreaming about delicious treats. Share a cookie with me, I’ll be all smiles; pair it with great coffee, and you’ll have my full attention. I adore traveling to sample mouthwatering dishes from around the world. I’ve loved exploring Kauai’s sea life! On our NaPali Coast tour, the pods of dolphins were so close, it felt like they were within reach. Same goes with sea turtles when I tried scuba diving. It’s so amazing to be underwater and in such close proximity to marine life!

• With a degree in Scenic Design & Production Management, I've always enjoyed a passion for the performing arts and try to support local & regional theatres as I am able. Much of my career has been in hands-on education and through many facets of guest service; and I've loved (almost) every minute of it ;-). In my role here on Kauai, I'm fortunate to help guide visitors to our many amazing, immersive, and memorable outdoor adventures.
